As a young woman of a new generation, I believe that it is our responsibility to fight for gender equality to not only ensure a better future for our generation, but for future generations to come. I formed the Alliance For Equality, in order to spread awareness about the unique barriers women face in the pursuit for equality.

 

    It wasn’t easy getting AFE off the ground, but with our team’s fierce passion and determination, we were able to break each barrier and establish Valley Christian High School’s first gender equality club.

 

    At every AFE meeting, we discuss a a new topic involving gender equality, from female representation in STEM to the negative impact of toxic masculinity.AFE also prides itself on it's community service initiatives. Twice a year AFE serves its community by donating bags of feminine hygiene products, also known as Angel Bags. AFE also holds seminars dicussing gender related issues with guest spearkers and panelists.
